In order to go easy on yourself you will have to get a grip on the negative self talk. Moreover, constantly chiding yourself for the little mistakes that you make, or for the faults that you perceive in yourself can really wear you down. If you create an affirmation mantra for yourself that you can replace the negative self talk with then you are well on the road to a place of self compassion. This is my personal affirmation mantra:
“I am whole, perfect, powerful, purposeful, prosperous, loving, forgiving, creative and beautiful. As a result, all of my actions today will come from my heart center. I love myself!”
