Choose to Make Changes
Today’s affirmation is letting your subconscious and your heart know that you are choosing to make changes in your life so that you can begin to move forward again. It is a gentle affirmation in that it does not actually make a change, but instead says that you are ready for change. Power words like “I choose,” “I intend,” and “I am ready” set the stage for change to happen. Once your heart is comfortable with these changes you intend to make, you are ready to move on to using “I am” statements. This is the point where the real magic begins, and the changes finally begin to happen. You need to be prepared – so take the time to work through an affirmation with its stages. Compare the following affirmations which build on each other;
“I am ready to release the energy that keeps me from moving forward with love and light.”
“I choose to release the energy that keeps me from moving forward with love and light.”
“I intend to release the energy that keeps me from moving forward with love and light.”
“I now release the energy that keeps me from moving forward with love and light.”
All of these affirmations seem the same, but the power words project different meanings. In conclusion, make sure you think about the words you use in your affirmations before you use them. Consequently, power words like “I want” and “I Can” will keep you in a perpetual state of wanting and waiting for change.
“I choose to release the energy that keeps me from moving forward with love and light. I am free!”

About Today’s Image:
Today’s wildlife photo is of an angry sea and a Pelican in flight in spite of the elements. Carmel By the Sea in California is a quaint and quiet town that has a thriving tourist industry and is still able to maintain it’s small community image. Most of the Motels and Hotels cater to pets (dogs especially) and many of the restaurants have areas where you can dine with your dog. I chose this photograph because it shows the raw power of the Pacific along with the bounty it protects.
